Stadium Experience has announced the return of its prestigious Chef Team of the Year Award, set to take place at Xcelerate with Edgbaston on Tuesday 17 March 2026.

The live culinary contest is part of The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2026 and will once again be judged by the British Culinary Federation (BCF).

Now in its second year at Edgbaston’s state-of-the-art community skills hub, the competition will see teams of two stadium chefs cook a four-course business luncheon in just 90 minutes. The menu must include a vegetarian amuse bouche, a fish or shellfish starter and a main course and dessert of the team’s choosing.

The BCF, led by President Peter Griffiths MBE, will oversee the judging, with experts scoring dishes on presentation, flavour, temperature and more. Judging will remain anonymous.

Griffiths commented: “After what was a very successful and well attended competition this year. The BCF is delighted to have been asked to once again oversee the Chef Team of the Year competition in 2026.”

Debbie Rigney of Stadium Experience added: “We’re thrilled to return to Edgbaston for this exciting showcase of stadium culinary talent. With the support of the BCF, we aim to make the 2026 event even more impactful.”

The competition is now open to all 70+ member venues of Stadium Experience, with early entry encouraged.

Winners will be announced at the main awards evening on 2 July 2026, hosted at Hill Dickinson Stadium, the new home of Everton Football Club and sponsored by Chef Works & Bragard UK.
