A delegation of chefs from the British Culinary Federation (BCF) were left impressed following a recent visit to Hobart’s Peterborough HQ to road test two of the manufacturer’s latest, greatest cooking and warewashing innovations.
The group of chefs were in town to get hands on with Hobart’s new Chef’sCombi oven, and its latest undercounter range, featuring ground-breaking Cutlery Premium functionality. After a short presentation and glittering unveiling, the BCF chefs put Hobart’s new combi through its paces, trialling the hugely simplified operating system for themselves, before being treated to a playbook demo from Hobart’s expert chef brigade, and tasting the delicious food created, including rib eye steak and seared salmon.
With an ethos of ‘everything you need and nothing you don’t’ – Hobart’s new combi is specifically designed to support chefs of all skill levels.
Chef Jim Eaves, part of the BFC delegation commented: “I really liked the simplicity of the combi’s operating system and the fact that it removed complexity from the cooking process.”
His colleague Rob England added: “The Hobart Chef’sCombi represents a real step up in terms of cook performance and consistency. The searing of the salmon was superb, as was the ability of the oven to achieve the crust on the outside of the rib eye steak whilst retaining the moisture and depth of flavour within.”
After lunch the chefs were given a hands-on demonstration of Hobart’s latest undercounter dishwasher with a built-in Cutlery Premium feature to make manual polishing a thing of the past. Not only this but its newest undercounter range is the first of its type to gain much sought after ETL (Energy Technology List) certification - taking pride of place on the Government’s approved list of energy efficient products.
The demonstration included an interactive comparison of cutlery polishing through Hobart’s Cutlery Premium system versus conventional cutlery washing and polishing by hand, with the stunning, streak-free result produced by the innovative new feature speaking for itself.
Hobart Managing Director, Tracy Southwell, added: “We’re a proud supporter of the British Culinary Federation and – just like our dealer, association and national account partners – greatly value their input when it comes to innovation. It was incredibly heartening, therefore, that their chef team were left so impressed with both the Chef’sCombi and Cutlery Premium feature on our new undercounter range. The Hobart innovation pipeline continues to produce exciting new products with features that make kitchen life easier for operators at every level!”
