Butchers to the Royal households celebrate 90th Year

Aubrey Allen, award winning family business based in Warwickshire, are celebrating their 90th year.

Aubrey Allen have organised a series of events to mark this milestone event.

On the 16th January Aubrey Allen hosted an celebratory event in their warehouse, which they converted to a brand hub for the day, where they welcomed over 55 guests to their Festival of Food. The guest of honour was Raymond Blanc OBE who delighted the room full of chefs with his tales of the importance of working together with suppliers, his first meeting with Peter Allen back in Oxfordshire 30 years ago and to remain optimistic – he himself started his business in the 1970’s amidst higher rates of inflation and greater civil unrest.

Then on the 30th January, with key guest speaker, Alain Roux, 100 guests joined together at Butcher’s hall in London, home to the Worshipful Company of Butchers and raised a glass to the next 90 years and beyond. With an echo of his father Michel Roux Snr, who spoke at Aubrey Allen’s 80th year in the same venue, Alain spoke about the synergy between Aubrey Allen and the Roux family closing with a warm embrace between Russell Allen, MD and grandson of the eponymous founder Aubrey Allen.
